About Me
I am an approximately 500,000,000-second-old person living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am currently a student at UBC's Science One program.
My interests
I have a passion for car design, engineering, and computers. By using professional software such as Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, Autodesk 3DS Max 2009, Rhinoceros 3D 4.0, and Adobe InDesign CS4, I can create artwork and designs to some extent thanks to my self-learnt skills. In addition, I have a passion for inventing things. Currently I have many unique designs and inventions. Among those are a constant-velocity joint with no sliding elements and a cage gear that can add or subtract a tooth for application in near-continuously variable transmissions. I hope to patent these inventions sometime in the future.
History
I was born in Singapore, where I received a bilingual primary education in English and Mandarin Chinese. As a result, English is my first language, and I am proficient in Chinese. I came to Canada in August 2005, and studied one year of high school in the Kitsilano Secondary School MACC program. Then, I came to the UBC Transition Program in 2006 September. In June of 2008, I graduated from the UBC Transition Program and thus completed high school education. In September 2008, I began my studies in UBC as an undergraduate student. I hope to enter the UBC Engineering Physics program in second year.
Future
After completing university, I will strive to enter a reputable graduate school in the U.S.A. I will pursue a future in automotive design or engineering, or computer sciences and graphics.
System requirements
A screen resolution of at least 1024 x 600 pixels (most modern 10" laptops and 15" desktop monitors) and a colour depth of at least 6 bits per channel (supported on most consumer level TN LCD displays) are recommended. However, the higher the resolution and the higher the colour depth, the better!
This site works with all modern browsers, including but not restricted to Mozilla Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 8, Safari 3, and Google Chrome. However, Internet Explorer 6 and below are not supported due to their lack of support for transparent PNG files.
