A Timeline

  • 21 October 1993: I was born in Singapore

  • 1 January 2000: I was enrolled in Nanyang Primary School, and was educated bilingually in English and Mandarin
  • 2003-2005: I was chosen to be part of the Gifted Education Programme
  • 21 August 2005: I came to Canada
  • September 2005-2006: I was part of the Kitsilano Secondary School MACC Program
  • September 2006-date: I am part of the UBC Transition Program
  • My achievements

    I have participated in many competitions of various subjects when in Nanyang Primary School and in the Transition Programme, of which many have had good results.

    I have participated in the Michelin Challenge Design 2008, and my design has been selected for display at the North American International Auto Show

    I have participated in the Canadian Open Mathematics Competition in 2006 and got in the top 20%, and scored the highest amongst all students in the UBC Transition Program. I have also participated in the AMC in 2008 and gotten into the AIME. In the Fermat competition, I got the highest score in Transition at 126. I have also participated in the Canadian MATHChallengers in the regional and provincial levels, and in both of them my team won first place. In the regional one, I was the 4th in the pool.
