Steampunk tank

2011

A fictional steampunk tank which I designed for the November 2011 design competition for the massively multiplayer online game World of Tanks. The theme was “steampunk”, and my design won the first place in the category “3D Rendered”, as well as receiving the Director’s Choice Award. The World of Tanks art director said the following:

This is a great submission. There are a ton of wonderful details on this tank. I especially like the red light coming out through the portals and the gear where the canon comes through the turret. Additionally, the shader and render quality is fantastic. I really enjoyed the detail, depth of field renders.

The tank was modelled in Rhinoceros 3D. The renders were created with V-Ray for Rhino.
